Shri Vivekanand Swarg Ashram Trust, Model Town Extension maintains a beautiful campus for the last journey of the dear departed in Ludhiana. Mr. Ram Parkash Bharti, Sarprast of Shri Vivekanand Swarag Ashram Trust, that runs the ashram, says they are also running an eye hospital and a cremation ground. The ashram started in 1991 with five rooms and four inmates. At present, it has 35 rooms and 60 inmates.
The Old Age Home has been established and is operating for the last 16 years in which we provide the facilities of:
- Food Facility
- Room Facility
- Personal Attendent
- Entertainment
- Lift Facility
They are provided boarding & lodging, clothing & medical treatment, free of cost. The home has been set up with a view that all the discarded, unadjusted, destitute aged persons may pass the evenings of their lives smoothly and in a dignified manner. Shri Vivekanand Swarg Ashram Trust Ludhiana also opened a Day-Care Centre where utmost endeavour is made to provide recreational facilities to the inmates as well as all other aged persons who are desirous of availing the facilities.
